Originally starting out as a family business in 1968 with one Wimpy shop, this rapidly grew to nine take-away shops, including burger bars and fried chicken shops.

The company has experience of operating a number of Wimpy and Kentucky Fried Chicken outlets across the northwest and following a number of successful years trading under these brand names, it was decided that the way forward for the company would be to launch its own brand, Krunchy Fried Chicken, whilst also moving towards the wholesale trade.
